Due to the end of all my storage places after the Covid period lots of works and material came back to the studio. So, during large parts of 2022 and beginning 2023 I had/have to renovate and reorganize my studio space. In order to meet my broad interest in techniques and media I decided to create many different ''working islands'' within the studio. Photography, video, animation, sculpture, painting, print and music can be performed in more or less designated rooms now, which is a real treat! It has become a personal eldorado I can say.
Work still has to be done on a little audio-isolated sound studio, in which I will be able to create audio pieces without hindering my neighbors.
Last but not least a second hand solar system will be placed on the roof of the studio to make it more or less energy neutral on the electricity side.
Will keep you informed in the months to come!

The hall of a former steel trade company in the German city of Lünen becomes a meeting point for artists: Together they experiment and invite visitors to discover the artistic research work.
During 4 till 10 September 2017 I have been working on an in situ piece called ''Waterranden'' (water edges). Next to that the video installation ''Nature's Knife'' (2015) was shown. On the 10th of September the venue was opened for public.

Here
is a painting/assemblage with title ''Quarantaine'' I made back in 2002
during the SARS-CoV outbreak. The printed photo is not very good,
unfortunately. Still looking for the negative. Material: oil-airbrush on
wood, transferprint on wood, lead.
Here is a rather big painting I made between 1989 and 1991, called ''We Want
Trees'', dimensions 390 x 280 cm, oil on canvas. Unfortunately it got
destroyed during transportation. Many years I thought a picture of the painting was lost too, but fortunately I found it again with the help of a local archive called ''Het Gelders Archief''. They happened to have a photograph made by a local journalist. Many thanks to the archive for the
negative scan!
Originally
this piece was a study for a huge sculpture of a street worker with a
motor chisel projected on a dead end road. But that project never made
it. The dead end road was demolished.

In the period June 8 till August 28 2020 several artists who live in the neighborhoods Sint Marten and Sonsbeekkwartier in the city of Arnhem will show some of their work behind window glass of their houses, or otherwise.
I will work for some weeks in situ on the balcony of my house on a sculpture that sits on one of the corners of the balcony structure. I have been working on the ''Leoninus Plastoid'', as I called the sculpture (after the street name; Leoninusstraat), for six days now, and this is how it has grown;
Participating artists in this weekend show: Frank Mabelis, Studio Crin, Judith Stolker, Ruben Heerings, Suski Store, Paulus Noomen, Felix ...
