The recovery of a lost painting! - ''We Want Trees''!

www.jeroenhuisman.com >

Here is a rather big painting I made between 1989 and 1991, called ''We Want Trees'', dimensions 390 x 280 cm, oil on canvas. Unfortunately it got destroyed during transportation. Many years I thought a picture of the painting was lost too, but fortunately I found it again with the help of a local archive called ''Het Gelders Archief''. They happened to have a photograph made by a local journalist. Many thanks to the archive for the negative scan!

Originally this piece was a study for a huge sculpture of a street worker with a motor chisel projected on a dead end road. But that project never made it. The dead end road was demolished.
