p.ART.s in Oirlo closes exhibition with NYMOKKU.
On Sunday, October 5th, the exhibition "Variables, Assumptions and Uncertainties," which has been on display for the past few weeks at the artist initiative p.ART.s in Oirlo, will conclude with a special concert by the dark-ambient band Nymokku. The Utrecht-based duo (De Wolf and Arpatle) will treat listeners to a unique experience, transforming acoustic instruments and everyday objects into spatial soundscapes through electronic processing.
That afternoon, the new exhibition cellar at p.ART.s will also be symbolically opened. The cellar of the former grain mill beneath p.ART.s has been made accessible especially for this exhibition. The concrete container where grain products were previously dumped is now available as a space where artists can create new presentations in the future. Jeroen Huisman's sculpture "Crescendo" can be viewed in the darkness of this cellar for the last time on Sunday. The semi-transparent chalice, created with a 3D pen, will then make its final, mysterious rounds in sparse light.
"Variables, Assumptions, and Uncertainties" can still be seen on Saturday, October 4th, and Sunday, October 5th, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The closing event will be on Sunday, October 5th, at 3:00 PM with a concert by Nymokku. p.ART.s is located at Castenrayseweg 19 in Oirlo. Entry is free.
